Hey guys! Don’t know what you all have planned for today, but I hope it turns out just as you imagined. Whether it’s to do some shopping (me!), stuff your face at a bbq (not me, lol!), or just catch up on some much needed R&R, I pray you all have a safe and blessed holiday!
As I mentioned before, I’ll be finishing up some shopping for our upcoming vacation with the entire squad; I’m talking friends, family, the whole shabang (cannot wait!).
Over the weekend I got a head start by hitting up Primark and Target for Nemiah. The pattern has been that she grows out of her clothes every other year so it’s re-up time.
A new Primark opened up last month nearby, so I decided to go there for some basics and other items that would suit Nemiah’s age. Primark is great for kids especially since they grow out of things so quickly. Inexpensive and practical is really all there is to it. Plus, Nemiah is at a stage where she can fit adult clothing, but she’s obviously not an adult; Primark provides me with playful items for her age group that are in her size. Hate seeing little girls in things that are just too grown. I make sure Nemiah is stylish, but always age appropriate (anyone else with me on this?)
Target is my absolute fave when shopping for her as well. Sadly, this will probably be the last year she can fit girls’ clothing there. One thing I’ll always be able to count on are the great quality sandals/shoes they have. Two years ago I scored some awesome finds for her. This year was a hit yet again, I was able to get her a plethora of options at amazing price points, plus 20% off! I was also able to add a super cute pair of sandals to my collection which I of course was thrilled about.
I shop smart, not hard. I make sure I know what I’m looking for before I step into a store otherwise I could easily find myself walking out with the whole store, but don’t nobody got time to spend frivolously. (Nothing is more freeing than being smart about expenditures and having control of your finances.) I wrapped up all things Nemiah over the weekend, so today it’ll be all about mommy. So funny, when I was younger I used to wonder how I’d be able to have a child because I didn’t know how I’d be selfless enough to shop for someone other than myself (LOL, so vain I was), but motherhood is the most selfless job on planet earth and I do it with pleasure.
At any rate, happy shopping to me and happy 4th to you! I’ll catch you back here next week!
What are you getting into today?
