I seem to have gotten my mojo back, so I’ve been ripping and running since. Once you’ve been sick for a while, you almost get paranoid that something else will come up, but only positive thoughts over here! I’ve been busy all week prepping for our Honeymoon (super excited!). Boston can’t seem to find it’s way to Spring or vice versa, so off I go. It’s been nothing but frigid this week and I cannot wait to chase the sun some more.
While I was in LA last week, it was snowing back home. I felt like a champ; I went from zero to 100, real quick! Of course I was happy to be on the opposite coast soaking up the sun, but that was short lived. This time, I’ll be exploring Thailand with the hubs.
When we first decided on a destination for our honeymoon, we chose Jamaica. I don’t know what got over him, but he called me while overseas and suggested we go some place completely different, and so Thailand it was. I could not believe he suggested to go half way around the world, so I just ran with it. Ever see photos of how gorgeous Thailand is? I was not about to pass that up. I cannot wait to come face to face with what I’ve only known through photos.
Though I’m excited about the trip, it’s bitter sweet because Nemiah obviously cannot come along. My goal as a mom is to show her as much of the world as possible. Besides that, I know I am going to miss her the second I leave. She has school vacation coming up so I know the village will be keeping her occupied (thank God for them!). I’ve been boosting our summer vacation to her so she could have something to be exited about and I’ll be on the hunt for the perfect souvenir!
At any rate, it’s been very interesting seeing the difference between Arvens and myself as it pertains to packing. My things have been organized and set aside for a while now. Him, he’s clueless. I’m wondering if he’s going to wait until the day of to actually pack. He called me a little while ago to ask if I could help him get started with the process (inserts side eye). Needless to say, this whole marriage thing is quite the adjustment, LOL! Be sure to keep up with me on IG @cassanie to get a glimpse of what’s sure to be paradise! Well, off to be a good wife and help the hubby pack! If you’ve already been to Thailand, be sure to drop suggestions in the comments below!
