I absolutely love the enthusiasm of the New Year! Everyone is psyched about their goals and aspirations and ready to tackle them full force!
One thing I’ve grown out of is making New Year’s resolutions. Instead, I just tack on adjustments from the previous years’ goals. The key is to stay consistent, so I don’t want to completely forego my 2017 goals, I just fine tune them, evaluate how close I’ve come to completing the goal, and continue on a steady path of success.
Some goals take a couple years to complete, a year may not be enough time to get it done, but TRACKING is extremely important. The key for me is to make sure I am progressing. I love to look back at my tracking sheets and see the progression from start to finish.
I accomplished so many goals last year including starting Shady Society; there’s still much more to this new phase. I’m taking time in 2018 to build the brand to higher heights and cannot wait to see where this journey takes me.
I think the biggest accomplishment of it all was proving to myself that I can survive after quitting a job of almost 7 years. 2017 was my year of liberation and 2018 will be much more than that, but not without a thorough plan of action. I wish all the best for you all this New Year. Trust yourself and don’t be afraid to make bold decisions; it’s where all the magic happens! Bring it on, 2018!
